O.N.E. COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
FACT SHEET
Who We Are: The Orleans Northern Essex
Community Partnership, O.N.E.C.P., represents scores of organizations
that serve children, families and individuals. These include the District
Offices of many State Agencies within the Agency of Human Services, AHS,
other state organizations, educational and medical institutions, area
businesses and just about all the non-profits who serve citizens and
community members or that are concerned about the well-being of the
citizens in the community.
Our Mission: is to support the growth and development of the
community through communications, collaboration and cooperation among the
200 individual members representing organizations devoted to the well
being of people in Orleans and Northern Essex Counties.
Background:
In 1994,
the organizing Partners of the State Team for Children, Families and
Individuals, composed of representative staff from AHS, VT Dept. of
Education, Employment and Training, Natural Resources and UVM, developed
a set of specific Outcomes that addressed the well-being of all
Vermonters. These Outcomes serve as desirable ends and the basis for the
12 local Regional Partnerships around VT, including the members of
O.N.E.C.P. A set of ‘indicators’ of these Outcomes have been identified that are
recognized by the VT State Agencies and considered valid, understandable
and sustainable over time. To track the well-being of Vermonters
the information from these indicators is compiled yearly into the in
Social Well-Being Report, the Community Profiles and the Vermont School
Reports. All this information is available on the web site

Meetings: ONECP meets monthly, with an agenda
that includes topics important to our community and updates, the first
Monday, 9-11:30 AM, at the Hebard State Office Bldg., Newport. The public is
invited to this meeting.
