Volunteer drivers for Meals on Wheels

 

 

 

 

Creative Minds Children’s Center, is a full day full year program that offers early care and education services to the children and families of Orleans county.  We have two buildings, 120 children, and 9 programs.  We are also looking for innovative ways to work with our community and would love an opportunity to work with a volunteer clientele.

 

Classroom Volunteers; reading to children, helping with cleaning duties, assisting the classroom staff

Cooking and Kitchen duties; assisting our food staff in preparation, cleaning and delivery

Cleaning and Maintenance work; painting, raking, mowing, sanding, other misc……

Special Circumstances: Must be willing to be consistent and reliable.  Sometimes volunteer work can become employment opportunities.

 

Cannot have a criminal background and must be able to communicate with others.

 

 

 

 

Answering phones and taking messages approximately one morning a month.  Although staff will be in staff meeting we will be available if needed.

 

Volunteers to help with emergency clinics.  Tasks may include greeting people and helping them through the clinic process, handing out intake forms, monitoring a 15 minute wait period, copying and filing forms.

 

 

 

 

 

Education tutors, vocational training, administrative assistance, arts & crafts, recreation and leisure skills, substance abuse meetings, parenting groups, religious services

 

Minimum Requirements: a 2 hour training provided by the facility, other requirements vary depending on the volunteer role
